This miniature reproduction dollhouse furniture piece is a stunning gothic style monk's bench circa 1860. The 1:12 scale miniature monk's bench is a large impressive gothic settle made in wood finished Walnut has fine pierced carving on the cavetto moulded pediment and gothic style carvings on the raised panels at the back of the seat. The monk's bench has a lift up seat and 4 panels to the front of the bench each with similar gothic style carvings. The splat arms are finger moulded. The original bench in the 1860's was most likely produced in France. This beautiful monk's bench by JBM Miniatures measures 5.25" tall by 4.75" wide by 1.75" deep.
